Meet your Coach, Alyce Svensk
The Art of Paediatric Therapy is the brainchild of Alyce Svensk, owner of Sensational Start OT. Alyce has worked in a variety of paediatric private settings before opening her practice in 2017.
For seven years, The Art of Paediatric Therapy course has supported hundreds of therapists in becoming more comfortable and confident in working as a Paediatric OT.

This four day workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of working with children aged 2-18 yrs of age.
It will increase your understanding of practice models, funding options, therapy models, assessment, reporting, goal setting, base line intervention strategies, behaviour management, therapeutic use of self and more.
You will develop a solid understanding of the foundations of paediatric therapy to inform your clinical reasoning and professional practice.
This is delivered via zoom webinar, attendees from around Australia will have the opportunity to access this highly regarded training without the costs of travel and accommodation.

This course is designed to support early career paediatric occupational therapists develop their clinical confidence when working with a paediatric caseload. We use a variety of real life examples, provides many resources, and templates to ensure you are able transfer the skills learnt in the workshop into practice.

The content of this workshop is interactive with group work, case studies and general group conversations encouraged to support learning. If you are unable to attend live, the recorded version is a good option to upskill quickly!

Be prepared to contribute in whatever way you feel comfortable – through the chat box, in the small groups or to the larger group. Alyce will request camera’s on (so she can demonstrate lots of her therapeutic use of self skills!), and will ask you to introduce yourself to the group (including where you work, your current caseload and what you are hoping to get out of the course).

This is a safe space for us to practice interviewing others and practicing the skills we need as therapists. You will have time in breakout groups to discuss learning from content, complete group activities and case study work (there may also be a role play!)

So many! Lots of planning tools, sample questionnaires, reports and letters. We will also guide you for future learning and point out books and workshops to explore in the future.
