Meet your Coach, Alyce Svensk

The Art of Paediatric Therapy is the brainchild of Alyce Svensk, owner of Sensational Start OT. Alyce has worked in a variety of paediatric private settings before opening her practice in 2017.

For seven years, The Art of Paediatric Therapy course has supported hundreds of therapists in becoming more comfortable and confident in working as a Paediatric OT.

This four day workshop will provide participants with a comprehensive overview of working with children aged 2-18 yrs of age.

It will increase your understanding of practice models, funding options, therapy models, assessment, reporting, goal setting, base line intervention strategies, behaviour management, therapeutic use of self and more.

You will develop a solid understanding of the foundations of paediatric therapy to inform your clinical reasoning and professional practice.

This course is designed to support early career paediatric occupational therapists develop their clinical confidence when working with a paediatric caseload. We use a variety of real life examples, provides many resources, and templates to ensure you are able transfer the skills learnt in the workshop into practice.

This is jam packed with information and we provide practical examples throughout, use case studies, interactive group work and reflection sessions to assist in applying the information directly to your caseloads.

This workshop is an interactive online workshop. You will spend time in break out rooms learning with and from your peers, as well as engaging with Alyce throughout the session – recordings are made available after the session so you can review what you have learned.
